Doctor Saran has over 32 years of experience in the medical field. He graduated from the Armed Forces Medical College in India, rated amongst the top three medical schools in the country. He did his Masters in Public Health from The Johns Hopkins School of Public Health and did Clinical Research in Cardiology at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. He completed his Residency in Internal Medicine from the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Saran is Board Certified both in Internal Medicine and in Addiction Medicine. For his contribution in Addiction Medicine, Dr. Saran has been honored as a Fellow of the American Society of Addiction Medicine.
Dr. Saran’s philosophy – “I believe that addiction is not just a problem by itself but a manifestation of problems. It affects every aspect of a person's life – health, family and friends, profession, self-esteem, etc. Its treatment requires a comprehensive and holistic approach, comprising -mind, body and spirit, diet, exercise, etc.. Only such a comprehensive holistic approach can bring about a long-lasting meaningful recovery”.
